Hailey was saved by Earl the day of the explosion, which is why she is so loyal to him. The two of them met Birdie and Jake soon after and they all stuck together. She quickly fell in love with Birdie and the two became an item.
The group had to move from place to place, and they sent Jake out looking for supplies and a permanent place to stay.

Jake heads back to the trailer where they are currently staying and is greeted by Hailey and Earl. Hailey excitedly asks Jake what he found while he was out and he tells them he found a new home. Her and Earl grin at the news.

Earl found Hailey on the day of the explosion but he saved her life and she joined to Earl's Group. She became extremely loyal to him. Later, she killed to Earl and Jake as indirectly.
Jake[]
She and Earl found to Jake in Street. He was decided to join to Earl's Group and stay with them so they could have strength in numbers.
